Founder in Pain Medicine recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A leader, researcher, and educator, he pioneered ultrasound applications in pain medicine and developed innovative interventional procedures. He has received major educational honors, including the John J. Bonica Award and ESRA recognition.

Jin-Woo Shin (South Korea)

Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Asan Medical Center. President of the Korean Pain Society. A leading pain physician and academic, he developed the world’s first spinal epidural balloon decompression technique and helped systematize genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation. He has also contributed to key publications in epidural balloon neuroplasty and spinal epidural decompression, with international research experience at Harvard Medical School.

Jae Chul Koh (South Korea)

Professor, Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Korea University College of Medicine. International Director of the Korean Association for the Study of Pain (KASP). Head of the Pain Center at Korea University. He has established clinical and academic contributions in neuromodulation and epiduroscopy, and is also a computer scientist focusing on artificial intelligence and extended reality technologies for immersive digital twin applications in interventional pain medicine.
